Response of optimization and sufficiency index in Bt cotton (Gossypium spp.) through optical sensor based nitrogen management

چکیده
To break the productivity barriers in Bt cotton (Gossypium spp.), adoption of optical sensor based nitrogen (N) management practices is need hour. In light this, a field experiment was conducted at main Agricultural Research Station, Dharwad, Karnataka during rainy (kharif) season 2019 and 2020 to optimize response index (RI) sufficiency (SI) for real time through sensors. Experiment split plot design with 16 treatment combinations having 2 genotypes (main plot) 8 N (subplot). Pooled data indicated that non-significant (P=0.3480) difference seed yield observed (First Class Ajeet 155 recorded 3313 3159 kg/ha, respectively). Seed yields varied significantly (P<.0001) due different sensor-based practices. supplementation 1.1–1.5 RI 81–90% SI (4460 4412 respectively) produced higher but on par RDF (4386 kg/ha) saving 15 kg sensors both years. Interactions were found (P>.9999). Similarly, number good bad opened bolls, total sympodials, per plant, boll weight, lint harvest RDF.

Polyploidization Altered Gene Functions in Cotton (Gossypium spp.)
Cotton (Gossypium spp.) is an important crop plant that is widely grown to produce both natural textile fibers and cottonseed oil. Cotton fibers, the economically more important product of the cotton plant, are seed trichomes derived from individual cells of the epidermal layer of the seed coat. It has been known for a long time that large numbers of genes determine the development of cotton fi...

The detection and identification of genetically modified (GM) plants are challenging issues that have arisen from the potential negative impacts of extensive cultivation of transgenic plants. The screening process is a long-term focus and needs specific detection strategies. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) has been used to detect a variety of biomolecules including proteins and nucleic acids du...
متن کاملEffect of Nitrogen on Seed Cotton Yield and Fiber Qualities of Cotton (gossypium Hirsutum L.) Cultivars
Seed cotton yield and fiber qualities may be significantly altered by a number of agronomic practices. The present study investigates the effect of nitrogen levels on cotton cultivar's seed cotton yield and fiber quality traits. Three cotton cultivars (NIAB-111, CIM496 and FH901) were tested against four nitrogen levels (0, 60, 120 and 180 kg ha) to check reliability, the highest yielding and g...
